4 Women & 3 Men Earn USTFCCCA Natonal Academic Honors


Seven Williams College cross country student-athletes have been named to the 2008 U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Cross Country All-Academic teams.

The award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically.  To be eligible for the award a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and must finish in the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet.

Four Eph women have been recognized: tri-captains Liz Gleason '08 and Lissy Robie '08, along with Olga Kondratjeva '10 and Elly Teitsworth '10.

The Williams women’s cross country team placed fourteenth at the 2007 NCAA Championship meet and second at the New England regional meet.

Three Eph men were also recognized: tri-captain Grant Burgess '08, Connor Kamm '10, and Corey Watts '10.The Williams men's x-country team placed second in the New England region and 10th at the NCAA Championship.
