Andrea Scioscia (Gibsonia, Pa.) received NESCAC Player of the Week
honors for Nov. 9, 2009.
Scioscia’s defensive play helped the Ephs win the 2009
NESCAC Volleyball Championship this past weekend at Tufts, the
third consecutive title for Williams and seventh this decade.
Over three matches last week, Scioscia averaged 6.5 digs per set with a total of 65 digs. Against Tufts for the conference title on Sunday, Scioscia had 18 digs, an assist, and a service ace in the 3-0 victory.In a quarterfinal win over Bowdoin, Scioscia came up with 24 digs.
Scioscia is second on the team in digs (434) and in service aces (27) this season. The Ephs will play Emerson in the 2009 New England Regional Qaurterfinals Thursday at noon. All matches will be played at Tufts University.
