NORTHAMPTON, MA - The Williams College volleyball team (14-7) defeated Wellesley 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-22) on day one of the Volleyball Hall of Fame tournament at Smith. The Ephs move on to face rival Amherst tomorrow afternoon.
In what head coach Christi Kelsey called a "great overall team win," the Ephs saw strong performances from seniors Andrea Scioscia (8 digs), Chelsea Kubal (10 digs, 11 kills), and juniors Kate Anderson (12 kills) and Emily Avis (32 assists).
At noon tomorrow, the Ephs take on the Amherst Lord Jeffs for the second time this season. The last time they came face to face, the Ephs defeated the Lord Jeffs 3-1. The team hopes to earn another victory tomorrow, as a win against Amherst will place them in the tournament championship.
