Hitchcock selected as NESCAC Player of the Week

HADLEY, MA — Williams College junior middle blocker Whitney Hitchcock (Penfield, NY) has been selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 9.

Hitchcock was instrumental in the Ephs capturing their second straight NESCAC championship. Over three matches — wins over Middlebury, Tufts and Amherst — en route to the championship, she had 14 kills without an error with a hitting efficiency of .437 for the weekend.  Hitchcock had 28 blocks in 3 matches — 2.2 blocks/set, including 15 total blocks in the championship match against Amherst.
