Emily Avis named NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week

HADLEY, MA — Williams sophomore setter Emilty Avis (Palo Alto, Calif.) has been named NESCAC Co-Player of the Week for Oct. 6, 2008. Avis was named the MVP of the Williams Invitational after helping her team to the title and a 4-0 week.

Avis amassed 133 assists (10.2/set) for the week, and tallied 49 assists (12.3/set) and 18 digs in a 3-1 win over Skidmore in the championship match. She added 5 service aces, 5 kills, and 3 blocks in the tournament.
