Ephs head to MIT for New England Regional

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- The Williams College volleyball team (27-7) is heading to MIT Thursday to take on Eastern Connecticut State (11-26) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament's New England Regional.
The Ephs captured their first NESCAC Tournament championship since the 2004 season by defeating Amherst in Amherst, 3-2, on Sunday. They are the No. 2 seed at the regional and will play the No. 7 seeded EConn at 6 p.m. Thursday in MIT's Rockwell Cage.
If Williams advances to the semifinals of the regional, it will face the winner of No. 3 seeded Amherst and No. 6 seeded Rivier College at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. The championship match of the regional will be Saturday night at 7.
All tickets will be sold at the door. They will be $5 for adults; $3 for students with IDs and $2 for children ages 3-12. MIT students and children 2 and under will be admitted free.
