Avis tabbed NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week

Williams College first-year setter Emily Avis (Palo Alto, CA) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference’s Volleyball Player of the Week for play ending Nov. 4.

Avis had a big hand in helping the Ephs capture the 2007 NESCAC Volleyball Championship over the weekend, racking up 160 assists for an average of 14.5 per game along with contributing 3.73 digs per game.

Against Amherst in the final Sunday, Avis had 15 digs, three blocks and a championship-match record 71 assists in a 3-2 win for the Ephs.
