
NEW ORLEANS, LA – Eight members of the Williams College women’s track & field team that finished sixth at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Championships have been accorded recognition as U. S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honorees.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met either the NCAA Division III indoor or outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard.
With eight team members being recognized the Ephs fielded the most All-Academic selections among the NESCAC’s 11 members and were among the national team leaders.
The eight honored Ephs include: Lizzy Danhakl ‘11, Rebecca Fine ’13, Jennifer Gossels ‘14, Olga Kondratjeva ‘10, Nora Mitchell ‘10, Karyn Moss ‘12, Sarah Tory ‘11 and Ariel Williams ‘10.
Danhakl, Fine, Gossels and Mitchell also all earned All-America honors at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
