Northampton, MA--The Williams women competed in the ECAC Division III Championships at Smith College on Friday and Saturday. The meet offered strong competition, providing athletes with last-chance opportunities to earn qualifiers for the NCAA Championship as well as personal bests.

Finishing 9th out of 42 teams with a relatively small contingent, the Ephs saw several season best performances, including senior co-captain Elise Johnson’s 2nd-place finish in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.23.

Another highlight was Tanasia Hoffler ’13, who took second place with a season best of 11.86m in the triple jump, earning her an automatic qualifier for nationals. Jennifer Gossels ’13 found her speed in the mile, running a personal best of 5:10.38, good for 8th place overall.

While a handful of Eph women will compete at the NCAA Championships at DePauw University next weekend, others will have a break as they look forward to the outdoor season.
