In the Ephs first meet at home they owned the field even while working with a track that is just short of a 200 meters and tough on one's shins. Once again the Ephs were training through the meet looking forward to next Friday's big invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.

Williams pulled out top finishes everywhere ranging from the short sprints to the 3K the lady Ephs were leading the pack. In the 55m Hillary Higgs ‘12 took first with a time of 7.63 while Katie DuPre ‘10 took first in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.29.

Going beyond first was Sara Wild '11 who not only clinched the 600m, but was the only runner in the field to run under 1:42:00 running a time of 1:39:00 dominating the race by 3 seconds. However it was not only team speed that took top places the distance squad followed suit. In the women's 1 mile the Ephs took 1st through 4th.  1st through 3rd in the 1000m race, and when that wasn't enough these Ephs went on to take 1st in the 3k.

Switching over to where the speed isn't on the track but on the runway Sara Turner'11 took first in the high jump and the long jump with distances of 1.51m and 4.89m. Rachel Teitelbaum ‘11 took second in the pole volt flying over a height of 3.00m. In the throws Madeline Watson ‘12 showed her strength against the tough women of RPI and took 3rd in both the shot put and the weight throw.

From all the coaches perspectives these ladies are right where they need to be. Looking ahead to Boston next Friday the Ephs are looking to put out some great performances where they will lay it all on the line.
