Eph women showcase strength and depth at mid distance and distance at UCF Invite

ORLANDO, FL – The first spring event for the Williams women's outdoor track & field team showcased the team's strength and depth at mid distance and distance events. The Ephs placed seven runners in the top 10 in the 1500 and three in the 800 in the Division I-oriented University of Central Florida Invitational.

Sophomore Lizzy Danhakl captured second in the 1500 in 4:43.65 and she was followed by Olga Kindratjeva in third (4:44.54), Meghan Shea in fourth (4:51.42), Lauren Philbrook in sixth (4:51.82), Ariel Williams in eighth (4:52.77) , Robin Kuntz in ninth (4:53.24) and Mary Feeley in 10th (4:54.39).

Sara Wild tied for seventh in the 800 when she finished in 2:19.48. Danhakl was literally right behind Wild finishing eighth in 2:19.50 and Olga Kondratjeva was 10th in 2:20.71.

The Eph 4x100 captured eighth place with a time of 50.47. Elise Johnson ran the leadoff leg and Kelsey Ham, Anne Kerth, followed her and anchor Hillary Higgs brought it home.

The Ephs will train for a few more days in Florida before returning to the northeast to compete in the Springfield Invitational on April 4th.
