Ephs stronger on day two at Shamrock Invite; Philbrook 2nd in 5,000
Junior Lauren Philbrook logged the Ephs best finish on the day at the Shamrock Invitational at Coastal Carolina University with a second in the 5,000. Philbrook led three Ephs who finished in the top six crossing the line in 18:18.40. Mary Feeley was fifth in 19:18.67 and Karin Knudson was 6th in 19:46.54.
Lissy Robie led a quartet of top ten Eh finishers in the 1500 when she placed 3rd in 4:30.85. Olga Kondratjeva was fourth (4:40.44), Laura walls 9th (4:48.31) and Bret Scofield 10th (4:48.80)
Sara Wild also collected a 3rd place finish when she completed the 800 in 2:14.50. Kristen Emhoff notched a sixth in the 3000 steeplechase when she finished in 12:20.51.
Carrie Plitt ended up 12th in the 100 (12.71) and took sixth in the 200 (25.18).
The Ephs will move a little further up the East coast for their next event when they compete at the University of Richmond on March 28 & 29.
