High finishes tough to come by at mostly Div. I Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invite

CONWAY, SC – Facing mostly a Div. I field of athletes and having just competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships last weekend, the Ephs took the track at Coastal Carolina for their first spring outdoor meet and found it difficult to post many top ten finishes.

Moira Yoe posted the best individual finish with a fifth place in the 10,000 in 39:47.38. Beth Links cracked the top ten in the event coming in ninth in 40:45.91.

Tina Meade picked up a 10th place finish in the 3,000 finishing in 10:53.03 and senior Carrie Plitt was one of 16 runners to qualify in the 100 in tomorrow's action.

The Shamrock Invitational will conclude tomorrow.
