MOBILE, AL––Williams' Nancy Worley and Kara Shoemaker finished seventh in the 2011 USTA/ITA National Small College Tournament.
Worley and Shoemaker beat Whitman 6-4, 6-1 in their third and final match of the tournament. The match was the pair's first win of the doubles tournament.
Head Coach Alison Swain said "Overall, this was a great experience for Nancy and Kara. To get to play on a National stage this early on in the year will help both Nancy and Kara focus on where they can improve as a doubles team between now and our spring matches. I'm excited that they were able to go to the ITA National Small College and think they gained a lot of high-level experience from the tournament."
