NCAA Individual Champions

After the 2011 NCAA Championships the Ephs have now won 83 individual titles.

On the first day of the NCAA 2011 NCAA Championships Logan Todhunter won her sixth individual NCAA title when she captured the 200 IM for the second year in a row, winning in 2:01.71.

On day two at the NCAA Championships Todhonter won her seventh consecutive NCAA final in taking top honors in the 100 fly in 53.84. Caroline Wilson notched her 4th NCAA title winning the 400 IM in 4:23.90, shaving nearly 2 full seconds off the record time she posted the year before. Day three of the  2011 NCAA Championships Todhunter repeated as the 200 butterfly champion (1:57.61) giving her 8 straight wins in NCAA finals.

On the final day of the 2011 NCAA Championships Caroline Wilson collected her second straight 1,659 freestyle title in 16:31.34, her fifth career NCAA indiviudal title.

Logan Todhunter now owns 8 NCAA individual titles, which ties her with Lindsay Payne '06 for third most at Williams, behind Erin Anderson '00 (9) and Katherine Eckrich '83 who captured 10 individual titles. Eckrich won 5 indiviudal titles at the first NCAA Division III Championship contested in 1982.

As a sophomore Logan Todhunter raised her total of individual titles to five in 2009-10 by winning three events and being named the Swimmer of the Meet at the 2010 NCAA Championships. First year Caroline Wilson also won three events as the Ephs finished third.

Katherine Eckrich '85 won five events in 1982 and swam on two winning relay teams that year. During her career at Williams, Eckrich accumulated ten individual titles and swam on seven winning relay teams. Eckerich is the Eph leader in individual titles (10), relay titles (7) and total titles (17).

Erin Anderson '00 won the 100-Freestyle, 100-Breast and 200 Breast three years in a row and swam on one winning relay for a total of nine individual titles and one relay title.

Lindsay Payne '06 was the first swimmer to win the 100-yard breaststroke at the NCAA Division III Championships four times. Payne was also named the Swimmer of the Meet at the NCAA Championships in 2005 and 2006. In her career Payne won eight individual titles and four relays for a total of 12 NCAA titles.

Elizabeth Jex '83 won four events in 1982 and swam on three winning relay teams as the Ephs won their first of two consecutive NCAA titles. Her seven combined titles at the 1982 NCAA Championships tied her with teammate Katherine Eckrich for the Eph record for combined titles at one championship with seven. Eckrich also won her seven titles in 1982.

Kristine Taylor '01 is the lone Eph diver to win the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in the same year, completing the double in 1998.
