Since her arrival a year ago Todhunter has dominated the 100 and 200 butterfly in Division III circles. Todhunter’s first season at Williams ended with her breaking the NCAA Division III records in the 100 and 200 butterfly at the NCAA Championships and an appearance in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd.
This year Todhunter won three events at the NCAA Championships and re-broke her records in the 100 and 200 butterfly. Todhunter topped the field in the 200 IM in 2:02.57, and lowered her record times in the 100 butterfly (:52.94) and the 200 butterfly (1:57.46). For her outstanding performances and helping the Ephs to a third place finish Todhunter was voted the Swimmer of the Meet at the NCAAs.
This winter Todhunter won both the 100 and 200 butterfly events against Division I opponents in a tri-meet with Boston College and Fordham University. He times in the 100 and 200 butterfly races would place her in the top 20 in NCAA Division I.
In two years Todhunter has broken 10 Williams College records, six NESCAC records and four NCAA records. The Collegiate Women Sports Awards program, now in its 23rd year, recognizes annually the top woman collegiate athlete in each of 11 sports in Divisions II and III as nominees for the Division II and III Athletes of the Year.

The athletes are placed on ballots emailed to all Division II and III Senior Women Administrators each June and the Athlete of the Year for each division is determined by the outcome of the voting.
The awards program is sponsored by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and to celebrate these awards American Honda Motor Co., Inc. donates $1,000 to the women’s athletic fund of each Honda Sports Award nominee’s university and each Division II and III nominee’s university. The Division II and III winner’s institutions receive $5,000 each.
A press conference will be held June 21, 2010 in Los Angeles to announce and present the Division II and III Athletes of the Year.
