WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Steve Kuster’s Williams women’s swimming & diving team is headed to Minneapolis to compete in the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota. Kuster said, “Every one going on the women's side has individual events that they are going to swim, which is great.”
As for Kuster is expecting, “I think we are heading out there with a very competitive team. If they show up in Minnesota as motivated, excited, and ready to swim fast as they were at NESCAC's; I expect it can be an exciting meet.”
“We have 3 seeded in the top 16 of the women's 200 IM, 5 in the top 15 in the 400 IM and 4 in the top 10 of the 200 fly,” stated Kuster. “Those certainly will be strong events for us. While seeds show you have had some great results up to this point, it is obviously all about either maintaining seeds or moving up. Our 400/800 Free relays and 400 MR on the women's side are in good shape I will be looking for the 200 MR and 200 FR to improve on where they are seeded.”
Summing up his expectations, Kuster said, “Not sure about where they can finish, but I would certainly hope top 5.”
