Ellen Ramsey Named National Swimmer of the Week 1/7 - 1/13

Somers, WI – Williams first year Ellen Ramsey (Belmont, MA)) was named the women's Division III National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week for her efforts January 7 – January 13.

Collegiateswimming.com selects one male and one female swimmer in each of the three competitive divisions within the NCAA. The swimmers are selected by a panel of collegiate coaches and nominated by coaches, sports information directors, conference representatives and CollegeSwimming.com staffers.

At Amherst Saturday Ramsey fashioned a record-breaking performance, winning the 200 freestyle (1:54.05) and breaking the Pratt Pool record by 1.11, while notching an NCAA B-cut time. She also posted B-cut finishes in the 200 backstroke (2:08.46) and 200 Individual Medley (2:09.82).
