Williams falls to Yale in season opener, 8-1

New Haven, CT -- The Williams women’s squash team traveled down route 91 last night for their first match of the season against Yale. While the Ephs fought valiantly, in the end they were overmatched by the No. 5 ranked Bulldogs, as Yale prevailed 8-1.

Toby Eyre gave Williams its sole win, playing at the number 1 position. Eyre showing why she is ranked 3rd in the country posted a convincing 3-0 win (11-9, 12-10, 11-2) against Yale's number 1, Logan Greer. The rest of the squad was all defeated 3-0 by their respective opponents in hard fought matches.  

Williams looks to rebound this coming Sunday with matches against Middlebury (11am), defending national champions Harvard (2pm), and Tufts (5pm).
