UPenn Overtakes Ephs 8-1

Philadelphia, PA—The Ephs ventured down to the University of Pennsylvania this weekend to take on the top-ranked Quakers.
Williams put up a tough fight, but it wasn’t enough to stave off this deep and skilled team. At number one, co-captain Toby Eyre lost the first two games 9-3, 9-0, before making a brief comeback in the third, falling 9-7. However, the bottom of the Ephs lineup showed their depth as well, with number nine Stephanie Barnet easily disposing of her Penn opponent in three games, and giving up only four points in the process.
Williams then headed down to Annapolis to take on the Navy Men’s ‘B’ team. The scrimmage ended in Navy’s favor, with the only Williams wins coming from Eyre, co-captain Arianna Kourides, and junior Julia Reiser.
The Ephs are looking forward to their match against rival Dartmouth Wednesday night in Hanover.
