HADLEY, MA -- Senior forward Sarah Walmsley
(Pelham Manor, N.Y.) has been named Co-NESCAC Player of the Week
along with Bates goalkeeper Annie Burns.
Walmsley helped the conference’s top offense go 3-0 last
week by playing a part in five of the Ephs’ 11 goals.
Walmsley started the week with a goal and an assist in a 6-0
victory over Western Conn. St. on Tuesday. Wednesday she added an
assist in a 3-0 victory against Plattsburgh St. in a battle of
undefeated teams.
Saturday in the Ephs' first NESCAC away contest Walmsley netted the first two goals of the game in a 3-0 victory at Colby. She leads the Ephs (7-0-0) with seven assists and is third in points with 13.
Walmsley has tallied one game-winning goal and was successful on one penalty kick.
The Ephs will next see action on Saturday when they tangle with archrival Amherst on the road in a 2:00 PM contest.
