
Entering the final weekend of dual matches the Williams wrestling team sports two wrestlers who are now ranked nationally and four Ephs who are ranked in New England.
Juniors Ces Antista (Matawan, NJ) and Tom Foote (Dunbarton, NH), have moved into the national rankings for the first time this season.
Antista, a captain, is currently ranked 9th nationally and 1st in New England at 141 pounds. He has won his last 12 matches to up his 2011-12 record to 18-3.
Foote is ranked 10th nationally and 2nd in New England in the heavyweight classification. He is 23-2 this season with a team leading 7 pins.
A year ago both Antista and Foote advanced to the NCAA Championships.
Also ranked in New England this week are junior Kaison Tanabe (131) and senior captain Nikola Mirkovic (197). Tanabe is fourth at 131, while Mirkovic is 7th at 197.
This weekend the Ephs will take on Springfield College in Springfield on Saturday and return home to battle Oswego State at 3:00 PM and Southern Maine at 5:00 PM on Sunday. The first match of the day on Sunday will start at 1:00 PM and feature Oswego State vs. Southern Maine.
