SPRINGFIELD, MA- This weekend the Williams wrestling team,
ranked first in New England and 11th nationally is competing in the
NEWA championship. The Ephs are seeking to repeat as NEWA champion
and secure the third championship in school history. On the line
are ten automatic bids to the NCAA Division III tournament as well
as a number of wildcard berths.
After the first two rounds of matches seven of the ten Ephs entered
are undefeated, with the other three competing in the wrestle-back
portion of the tournament.
Williams also leads the team score by seven points over Johnson
& Wales.
