Josh is the son of David and Fay Mattana…He majors in English. Josh comes from Great Neck, NY and wrestled at Great Neck South High School where he was 4th in Nassau County, was on the NY National Team, and the Long Island Empire State Games Team.
Career at Williams: Josh was 31-9 in his freshman
year and finished 2nd in JV New England’s. As a sophomore Josh went
20-20 wrestling up a weight class at 133. He finished a great year earning
All-Conference honors with a 6th place finish at the
NEWA Championships.
Josh place 6th at the Doug Parker Invitational and won
the RWU Invitational.
Josh was also a 2009 Scholar All-American. Josh is moving back down to 125
for his junior year.
He enjoys music, running, reading, and sneakers. After Williams, Josh plans to
attend graduate school.
