Ephs Poach Pride, 26-20

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA-- In the Ephs only home match of the season they preformed well, defeating 26th ranked Springfield College 26-20. The Ephs were tested by a talented Springfield squad but were able to hold on for their 11th win of the season.

Williams (11-3-1) came out to a fast start winning their first two matches by decision. However, the Pride quickly bounced back earning hard fought win in 3rd match of the day. After the loss, the Ephs refocused, earning three straight wins, two by major decision and the third by forfeit. Ryan Malo, wrestling in the 197 pound weight class sealed the victory with an impressive pin.

Juniors Dylan Rittenburg and Carl Breitenstein wrestled superbly earning back to back major decisions in their matches.

The Ephs next hit the mats at Norwich University this Saturday, where they will also see Bridgewater State, MIT and Plymouth State. 

Plymouth State is coached by former Eph All-American Tom Prairie.
