Ephs hold on to 2nd in NE Wrestling Rankings

Two strong tournament efforts and a 35-6 win over Norwich has the ephs slotted in second place in the current rankings of New England Division III teams.

The Ephs are 20 points behind top ranked Rhode Island College and four points head of third-ranked Johnson & Wales.

There are seven Ephs now ranked in the top six in the New England region. Senior Kyle Ayer dropped from first to second at 197 due to being sidelined with an injury and sophomore Dylan Rittenburg (141) and senior Nic Miragliuolo also held on to second place in the rankings as well.

Junior Ethan Cohen (125) and sophomore Carl Breitenstein (157) are still ranked third, while sophomore Nathan Shippee (184) makes his first appearance in the rankings at 6th and senior Doug Washington returned to the rankings (165) at 6th.

The Ephs will return to action on January 4th in Lasell Gym when they host Simpson College of Iowa at 5:00 pm, before hosting the Williams Invitational the following day.
