
"Dylan was up 5-4 going into the 3rd period and we chose down,"
said co-head coach Dan DiCenzo. "Dylan got out and got another
point for a 6-4 lead, but Grawin came back ad took a 7-6 lead with
a late takedown."
Travis Grawin of Luther College is a 2-time All-American and
entered the tournament this year as the 8th seed and his
experienced showed as the match grew longer.
Down a point with time running out Rittenburg had to try and go
for a takedown to stay alive at the Championships. Unfortunately
the Eph sophomore got exposed and with just seconds to go in the
match, while going for the takedown, and was pinned by Grawin in
the final seconds.
Rittenburg finished the year at 30-13 and he now has ports career
mark of 51-30.
"Dylan wrestled very, very well against a quality wrestler," said
Dicenzo. "He has a lot of reasons to be proud of his performance
out here."
