
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Winning the 2010 NESCAC title earned the Williams College women’s lacrosse team (12-6) a home game in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Wednesday evening vs. NEWMAC Champion Babson College (14-3) on Renzie Lamb Field.
Babson will enter the game having won their last six games and out scoring the opposition 90-36, while the Ephs are 4-2 in their last six contests. The Ephs have out scored their opponents 69-57. Both Eph losses came at the hands of nationally ranked teams.
The Ephs and Beavers will square off at 6:00 PM. The winner of the Williams – Babson game will head to Gettysburg College to face Gettysburg at 11:30 AM on May 15th. Gettysburg was one of four teams along with Hamilton, Franklin & Marshall and Salisbury to receive first round byes.
The national semifinals and finals will also be played at Gettysburg on May 22 and 23.

Approval is being sought for from the NCAA for permission to webcast the contest. If approved, the webcast will be available here free of charge.
