
Chris Mason’s Williams women’s lacrosse team is one of five NESCAC teams ranked in the IWLCA’s preseason national top twenty poll. Mason’s Ephs are ranked 12th
The other four ranked NESCAC teams are Middlebury (6), Tufts (7), Colby (10) and Trinity (15).
Last spring the Ephs closed with a fury and finished up 13-7 advancing to the finals of the NESCAC Tournament then into the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Mason will have three of her top five scorers back from past spring in Margie Fulton (46 goals, 26 assists), Whitney Thayer (39 goals, 9 assists) and Tina Nawrocki (27-16). The Ephs will also return goalie Julie Schreiber who posted a .514 save percentage and made 182 saves on the year, while allowing 8.89 goals a game.
The Ephs will open the 2010 season and NESCAC play on the road on March 13th when they travel to Waterville, ME for a contest with 10th ranked Colby.
