Eph quartet garners First Team All-Region honors from IWLCA

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — Seniors Britt Spackman and Elizabeth Burns joined sophomore Julia Schreiber and first year Margie Fulton in being named First Team All-Berkshire Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Thursday.
Spackman led Williams with 77 points this season, scoring 44 goals and adding a team-high 37 assists. She tied for the lead in game-winning goals with three, was second on draw controls with 33 and second in caused turnovers with 17. She also had 30 groundballs.
Spackman ended her career with 242 points, which puts her in the top 10 all-time at Williams, with 134 goals and 108 assists. She was a Second Team All-NESCAC selection this year.
Burns led the Ephs with 53 groundballs, 36 draw controls and 33 caused turnovers. The First Team All-NESCAC defender also scored three goals and assisted one.
Fulton won the NESCAC Rookie of the Year award after starting her collegiate career with a team-leading 46 goals and 26 assists for 72 points. She tied Spackman with three game-winning goals and contributed 15 groundballs, 17 draw controls and three caused turnovers.
Schreiber started all 20 games in goal for the Ephs, compiling an 8.89 goals against average and a .514 save percentage. She made 182 saves, averaging 9.1 per contest and finished with a 13-7 record. Schreiber was also a First Team All-NESCAC selection.
