Burns, Spackman earn All-America honors
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)and US Lacrosse have chosen Williams College seniors Elizabeth Burns and Britt Spackman as 2009 All-Americans.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — Seniors Britt Spackman and Elizabeth Burns joined sophomore Julia Schreiber and first year Margie Fulton in being named First Team All-Berkshire Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association Thursday.

Hamilton knocks Williams out of NCAA tournament in an 8-7 loss
WATERVILLE, ME – Williams Women’s lacrosse (13-6) lost to 8-7 Hamilton (15-2), the defending NCAA champion, in the NCAA round of sixteen. Williams recovered from a 5-0 deficit to pull within one, but the Ephs were unable to take the lead away from the Continentals.

Ephs advance past Endicott in first round of NCAA Tournament, 19-9
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams women’s lacrosse (13-6) dominated Endicott (15-5) in a 19-9 blowout in the first round of the NCAA tournament. It was a team effort for the Ephs with their 19 goals coming from 12 different players and all healthy players participating in the contest.

Colby defeats Williams in the NESCAC finals
MEDFORD, MA – Colby women’s lacrosse (16-1, 8-1 NESCAC) defeated the Ephs (12-6, 4-5 NESCAC) 12-10 in the finals of NESCAC tournament. Williams had a two goal lead at the half, but the Mules rallied and came out on top to win their second NESCAC championship in a row.

Ephs advance past top-seeded Tufts in overtime to the NESCAC finals
MEDFORD, MA – Williams woman’s lacrosse (12-5, 4-5 NESCAC) beat top seeded Tufts (14-2, 8-1 NESCAC) 11-10 in overtime to advance to the NESCAC finals. The Jumbos tied the game at 8-8 with only three seconds left in regulation to take the game into overtime, but the Ephs held on a man down through the first half of overtime and came out on top in the second.

Women's Lacrosse advances to NESCAC semifinals with 15-13 win over Trinity
HARTFORD, CT – Williams women’s lacrosse (11-5, 4-5 NESCAC) advances to the NESCAC semi-finals with a hard fought victory over the Trinity Bantams (10-4, 5-4 NESCAC). Eph senior Julia Nawrocki led the team to victory with five goals and two assists.

Middlebury downs Williams women's lacrosse 18-12
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams women’s lacrosse (10-5, 4-5 NESCAC) lost to NESCAC rival Middlebury (8-4, 7-2 NESCAC) after a slow start. This was the last home game for the Ephs’ five seniors: Julia Nawrocki, Britt Spackman, Lizzie Burns, Antonia Clark, and Amina Pookrum.

Ephs win fourth straight to move to 10-4
Not even two inclement weather delays could slow the Eph's strong offense, as the women's lacrosse team (10-4) defeated visiting Redlands Wednesday afternoon, 16-0. It was William's fourth consecutive victory and final tune up before Friday's NESCAC showdown with Middlebury.

Victory over Springfield extends Williams women's lacrosse winning streak to three
SPRINGFIELD, MA- Williams women’s lacrosse (9-4, 4-4 NESCAC) topped Springfield College (9-5) to extend their winning streak to three games. Senior Julia Nawrocki led the Ephs in points with three goals and three assists followed by freshman Margie Fulton who had three goals and two assists.

Ephs put away Little 3 rival Wesleyan, 17-9
WILLLIAMSTOWN, MA –Williams women’s lacrosse (8-4, 4-4 NESCAC) recovered from a slow start to beat NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan (5-8, 2-6 NESCAC) 17-9. This win means Williams, Amherst, and Wesleyan tie for the 2009 Little Three Title.

SARASOTA SPRINGS, NY – Williams women’s lacrosse (7-4, 3-4 NESCAC) dominated Skidmore (6-5) in a decisive 16-5 victory. Junior Whitney Thayer, junior Tina Nawrocki, and freshman Margie Fulton contributed to the Eph victory with a hat trick each.
