Sophomore forward Gabby Vukasin (Princeton, NJ) is making the most of her walk on opportunity to join women's ice hockey program at Williams a year ago.
After surviving tryouts and making the team in 2010-11, despite not being recruited, Vukasin tallied two goals and assisted on two more, but that was just a prelude to this season.
Having acclimated to the speed of the college game, Vukasin put in a summer of intensive weight training and conditioning and this season through 14 games she is tied for the team lead in goals scored with 12.
Vukasin has notched one game-winning goal this winter and has scored three power play goals.
