
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams senior Anne O'Leary (Short Hills, NJ) became the first female Williams golfer to be named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-East regional team for a third time.
"Anne is so deserving of this honor, but to me and to her teammates she's an All American," said DeSanty.
O’Leary was averaging an 82 per round entering the 2010 NCAA Tournament, where she finished tied for 14th individually in the field of 126. She led the Ephs to their highest finish ever at the NCAA Tournament – 7th.
At the NCAA Tournament in Howey-in-the Hills, Fl, O’Leary exhibited her remarkable consistency one last time (82/85/78/80) for an average round of 81.
O’Leary concluded her stellar career with a five over par 78 on the penultimate round of the NCAA Tournament. The average score on the El Campeon Course during the NCAA Tournament was 87.
Each of her first three years O’Leary has also earned a place on the NGCA All-American Scholar Team (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. The 2010 NGCA All-American Scholar Team will be announced in June.
This season O'Leary was voted the Ephs team MVP.
