Eph women's golf moves up to 9th in the NGCA poll

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- Erika DeSanty’s Williams women’s golf team has moved a notch higher in the national poll this week with a current ranking of 9th. The Ephs were ranked 11th in the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) pre-season poll and previous to this week had been tied for 10th with George Fox University (OR).

“Our team continues to improve with every playing opportunity and because of this we are more confident and more determined going into this weekend and potentially earning a spot in the NCAA tournament,” stated DeSanty. “We have a special group of seniors who all lead in their own way. They set the tone during practice and have helped to foster a team who supports and believes in each other.”

Next up for the Ephs is their lone home event and final regular season competition of the spring season. Nine teams from the northeast will join with the Ephs at the Williams Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Taconic Golf Club in a 36-hole tourney.
