Day 1 - Ephs Place 2nd in 1st Round of Wellesley Invitational


In the first round of the Wellesley College Invitational, the Williams College women’s golf team placed second with a team score of 339; currently leading the tournament is Wellesley with a score of 333.

Sophomore Anne O’Leary shot the lowest score for the team with a 76 on her first day. Mary Gelber, sophomore, fired an 80 and sophomore Kristin Nottebohm carded an 86 for her first day of the tournament.

Freshman Amiee Weber shot a 97 for the varsity, appearing for the first time in the varsity’s five in a collegiate tournament. “She [Weber] had a couple tough holes and I’m expecting her to do a little more for tomorrow,” Coach Herman stated. Lauren Antsey, also a freshman, fired a 102 in her first round of the tournament.
