Ephs Win Middlebury Invitational

In a two-day tournament at Middlebury College (Neshobe Country
Club, Brandon, Vermont), the Williams College women’s golf
team finished first ahead of St. Lawrence University (715) and
Middlebury (730) with a combined score of 684.
“The team battled; there were some really good plays and
some bad plays but that’s golf; it’s the name of the
game. We fought and played hard and it’s our first tournament
win so it’s really exciting,” said Coach Herman.
The Ephs shot a team total of 355 on the second day. The medalist
of the tournament was Anne O’Leary, sophomore, who shot an 81
her second day on the course to make her total of 165 for the
tournament. Coach Herman noted that she won the tournament last
year as well. Sophomore Mary Gelber, Kait O’Brien and
freshman Lauren Anstey all fired an 88. Laura Koplik, junior,
carded a 92.
