Justin Moore begins his 11th year at Williams in the fall of 2009.  During his tenure Moore has guided Williams women’s crews to wins at the New England Championship, ECAC Championship, and NCAA Division III Championship (2002, 2006, 2008 & 2009). The 2009 Ephs became the first Division III team to win four consecutive NCAA titles and they posted an undefeated record in the fall and spring seasons.

The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) voted Moore the Division III Coach of the Year in 2006, 2008 & 2009. He has been named the national Division III Coach of the Year four times in his tenure as the Ephs' head coach.

Moore was named by US Rowing as the Women's Junior National Team coach in the fall of 2008, but his national team duties do not conflict with his duties at Williams.

In August of 2009 Moore directed the US Junior National Women's Team 8+ to an open water win, capturing the gold medal at the World Rowing Junior Championships in Brive-la-Gaillairde, France. The win earned the US a berth in the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore in August.

Moore was recognized by Sports Illustrated magazine as a "Faces in the Crowd" selectee in their October 12, 2009 edition for his incredible 2008-09 intercollegiate year and winning the World Junior Eight title in France.

Throughout his career, Moore has also coached many other elite rowers with the US Rowing Development and Pre-Elite Camps, the US Junior National Teams, and Under-23 National Team in 1997.

Moore spent the academic year 2006-07 on sabbatical, working with the Canadian National Teams and coaches at the east-coast training center in London, Ontario and the west-coast training center in Victoria British Columbia. During the year Moore studied under three FISA World Coaches of the Year, Al Morrow of Canada, Mike Spraklen of Great Britain and Bent Jensen of Denmark.

Prior to Williams, Moore was the assistant heavyweight men's coach at Yale, where he led the freshmen class of ‘96 to an EARC Sprints championship and, later that summer, a victory in the Temple Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta.

Moore holds a master’s degree in coaching from Central Michigan University. His keystone essay, "Leadership in Coaching: An Integrated Model," was published in the Encyclopedia of Leadership, Berkshire Press, 2004. A respected leader in his field, Moore has presented on rowing and training at numerous clubs and colleges, as well as the US Rowing Annual Convention and the CRCA Coaches Academy.

In addition to his coaching duties at Williams, Moore serves as a lab instructor for the Biology of Exercise and Nutrition with Professor Steve Swope. Moore is an avid masters rower, cyclist and triathlete. He has completed five Ironman distance triathlons, including the 2001 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
