Justin Moore’s Williams women’s crew team opened the season as the top ranked team in NCAA Division III in the collegiate rowoing Coaches Association (CRCA) poll and they have continued atop the national poll sweeping all of the first place votes again this week in accumulating a perfect score of 200 points.
Eight of the top 10 teams are either from New England or New York State. Only the University of Puget Sound (5) and Willamette University (8) are from west of New York. Three of the top 10 teams are from NESCAC with Williams (1), Bates (3) and Trinity (4).
Moore’s 2010 Ephs are seeking to extend their streak of NCAA titles to five in a row this season and they are off to an impressive start thus far in dominating both events they have competed in up North. The four consecutive NCAA rowing titles is a record in NCAA Division and with five all-time NCAA titles the Eph women's crew team has won the most NCAA championships of any Williams team.
This weekend the Ephs head back to Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts for the Little Three Championships where they will face off against rivals Amherst and Wesleyan.
