2009-10 All-NESCAC Women's Basketball Team
HADLEY, MA — Williams College junior Chessie Jackson was named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference's Second Team, it was announced Wednesday.
Jackson (Goleta, CA) leads the Ephs with 14.4 points per game and is second in the squad with 5.7 rebounds per contest. Her 49 three-pointers are also a team-leading figure. She is shooting 35.8 percent (49 of 137) from beyond the arc and 43.6 percent (146 of 335) overall.
Jackson is currently second on the team in assists (64), blocks (26) and steals (34.)
"Chessie has been a very versatile player for us," Ephs head coach Pat Manning said. "She is a threat inside and out, and gives our opponents match-up problems because of that."
The Ephs (18-7) received an at-large berth into the Div. III NCAA Tournament and will take on Mount St. Mary (22-5) Friday at 6 p.m. at Ithaca College. The host Bombers (22-5) will play DeSales University (18-9) and the two winners will meet Saturday night in Ithaca at 7 p.m.
