Since graduating in 2005, Chris Frank has dedicated his time and
energy to pursue his dream of becoming one of the best alpine ski
racers in the word. This year Frank took some huge steps
toward accomplishing his goal.
In the North American Cup circuit (the top level of racing in
North America, one step below Word Cup and Olympic competition) he
had four podium finishes, including a win at Aspen against a field
full of Canadian and American national team members and Olympians.
Franck’s strong North American Cup finishes put him in second place overall for the season's Super G event standings, earning him a World Cup start for the following season in that event. It is the first time a post collegiate skier has earned a World Cup start through the North American Cup. Most of Frank’s competitors at this level have dedicated their time to racing without attending college.
In addition to the North American Cup finishes, Frank ended the season with a third place finish in the giant slalom at US National Alpine Championships where he competed against the US Ski Team and other top racers that had just represented the United States at the Olympics.
Frank is currently ranked in the top 100 in the world in Giant Slalom and Super G.
