Cain, Dinet tabbed First Team All-NESCAC,Third Team All-Region

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- Williams College senior Caitlyn Cain (Houston,TX) and sophomore Kaitlin Dinet (Pearl River, NY) were selected First Team All-NESCAC Thursdayafter helping the Ephs to a 20-18-1 record in 2011.

Cain,a catcher and first baseman, and Dinet, who played first base and third base for Williams,were also selected Third Team All-Region by the NFCA.

Playing in 38 of the Ephs' 39 games, Cain led Williams in several offensive categories this season, including batting average (.388), runs scored (30), hits (47), walks (15) and on-base percentage (.460). Cain was also second on the team in stolen bases with six.

Dinet had a breakout season in her second year in the program, playing in 36 games, starting 31 and batting .382 with five home runs and 29 runs batted in, all three numbers second on the Ephs. She also belted out seven doubles and two triples, giving her a .637 slugging percentage, also second on the Ephs.

Dinet also pitched from the Ephs, appearing in eight games and starting five. She finished the season 2-2 from the circle with a team-best 3.00 ERA.
