Hart started 35 of the Ephs' 39 games this season, batting .402 for the season. Batting second for much of the season, Hart was second on the team with 27 runs scored. She knocked out a team-leading eight doubles, one triple and one home run, while drving in seven runs. Her slugging percentage of .523 was second on the team, as was her on-base percentage of .423. She tied Blazek for the team lead in stolen bases with eight.
"Both players had outstanding seasons at the plate," Ephs' head coach Kris Herman said. "Ali became a true switch hitting threat and became comfortable at a new position. In the last third of the season she really became a force on both sides of the ball and a leader in our infield.
"Cedar clearly had a great first year. she lead the conference
in hitting in conference games (Ali was 3rd), hitting .550 and was
a part of numerous important rallies. Her consistency was an
important part of our offensive success and she settled in easily
as our centerfielder. I look forward to working with both player
for years to come."
