First Year 2006: Morgan was a true utility
player as a frosh, making eight appearances as a pitcher and seeing
time at shortstop, first base and designated player…played
in 27 games, hitting .143.
Sophomore 2007: Third leading hitter on the
team in ’07, hitting .333. She started 33 of 36 games
after early season injuries, leading the team with 10 wins in the
circle with exactly 100 innings pitched…opponents hit .252
against her and she struck out 85, walking 23 ... when not pitching
she played mostly second base.
Junior 2008: Appeared in 35 games, 34 of those starts... had a batting average of .313 with 31 hits... had a slugging pct of .465 and on-base pct of .384... second on the team in doubles with 7... on the mound had a record of 7-6 and a team leading era of 2.40... led the team in strikeouts and innings pitched with 63 and 87.1 respectively... also led in appearances with 19 and starts with 11.
