Edgar Kosgey '10 named NESCAC X-C Runner of the Week & ECAC Co-Runner of the Week

Running in a field of predominantly Division I runners, junior Edgar Kosgey (Eldoret Rift Valley, Kenya) finished first out of 178 runners at the Fordham Fiasco Invitational with a time of 26:28 on the famed Van Cortlandt Park 8-kilometer course.

Kosgey's performance likely opened some eyes around the New England region as he finished 15 seconds ahead of the next runner in capturing NESCAC honors. In addition Kosgey also shared the ECAC Runner of the Week honors with Mike Heymann of SUNY Plattsburgh.

In the 16-team field that featured 11 teams from Division I, Williams finished third.

Next up for the Ephs is the Co-Ed Relays at Middlebury on Saturday at 12:00 PM..
