The Ephs rolled to a 39-point margin of victory over archrival
Amherst last Saturday to capture a second consecutive NESCAC title.
Four Ephs collected All-NESCAC honors and head coach Peter Farwell
was named the NESCAC Coach of the Year for the second year in a
row. The win gives the Ephs 10 NESCAC titles overall.
Williams’ scoring-five runners continued their impressive
pack-running. All five Eph harriers finished within 20 of each
other despite the less than ideal running conditions of rain and
mud. Edgar Kosgey (3rd) was the top finisher for the Ephs in a time
of 26:29. Corey Levin finished in 6th place with a time of 26:37.
Junior Brendan Christian was 8th, just two seconds back in 26:39.
Sophomore Corey Watts followed in 26:43 for 13th place. Senior
Grant Burgess filled out the pack, as he sprinted down the
crowd-lined straightaway in 17th with a time of 26:48.
Times on the course were slower than normal due to the inclement weather. The race gun went off under cloudy skies and rainy conditions, with moderate-to-heavy winds blowing across the fields during the race.
Kosgey and Levin were named First Team All-NESCAC, while Christian picked up his second Second Team honor and Corey Watts also garnered Second Team honors
