Baker is serving in his second year at Williams as an assistant to the cross country and track & field programs. A native of Macomb, IL, he co-captained the cross-country squad in his senior campaign and earned All-New England honors all three seasons while an undergrad at Williams.

After graduation, Baker relocated to NYC where he interned at the Williams Club. While there, he organized alumni events and established an art gallery. Also while in NYC, he interned with an architecture firm, coached at LaSalle Academy on the lower east side, and taught and coached at Cardinal Hayes High School in the south Bronx.

His fall coaching duties include working with athletes coming back from injury and helping Coaches Farwell, Newton, and Clausen with all facets of the cross country program. Regarding track & field, he continues working with Farwell to spearhead the middle-distance group (400-5,000 meters; emphasis on 800-Mile). He also assists Head Coach Fletcher Brooks with recruiting for both men's and women's track & field squads.

Baker counts his father as the biggest influence in his approach to coaching.
