Anthony Raduazo named NESCAC Men's Track Performer of the Week

HADLEY, MA -- Sophomore distance runner Anthony Raduazo (Bolton, MA) was named the NESCAC Men’s Track Performer of the Week for his impressive performance at the UMass-Amherst Spring Open last weekend.

Raduazo posted the best time in the conference so far this season in the 3,000-meter steeplechase over the weekend at UMass-Amherst running in a predominantly Division I field. Raduazo was timed in 9:24.65, a winning margin of nearly 10 seconds.

The Ephs finished 4th of 10 at UMass-Amherst and posted the highest Division III team finish and defeated five Division I teams.

This weekend the Ephs will host the men’s and women’s Little Three Track & Field Championships, which boasts a most unusual scoring system. Instead of awarding points based on the top eight finishes in an event each school is limited to having just its top two finishers feature in the scoring.

The Ephs will be looking to extend their mastery of the Little Three Championships to 22 consecutive years.
