Former Eph track team member Joel Richardson has written and
published a book about the Williams track experience.
The book, Williams Track (Volume 1), which is a paperback, is not intended to be a history of Williams track.
"I wrote the book because I had previously written a book about my very successful high school program [Beverly, MA] and thoroughly enjoyed digging up the old stories and interviewing the athletes," stated Richardson. "With the increased success of both the men's and women's teams at Williams in the past 20 years, I thought it was a natural subject."
"While at Williams I ran races ranging from the 440 to the 880 (most races were in yards at that time). Probably the highlight for me was Division III New Englands in 1980 at Colby where I was third in the 600 yards in 1:13.64, which tied the school record, and then came from behind to anchor the victorious mile relay."
