Hanover, New Hampshire- Coming off a difficult first day of the Dartmouth Invitational, the Ephs rebounded admirably. Out of seven matches the Ephs won five.
Playing in Flight E, Dylan Page fell to Alex De Chatellus of Dartmouth. Page lost a number of narrowly contested points, and eventually lost the match in a second set tiebreak 5-7,6-4,(4).
In a match that was far closer than the final score would suggest, Freshman Charlie Hammond fell to Middlebury's Michael Malhame 6-4, 6-2.
For the Ephs who lost on the first day of competition the theme of the day was redemption. The Ephs were paced by Co-Captain Nick Lebedoff who beat Anders Rathlev of Boston University.
Senior Ben Kelley dominated Amherst's Will Rives 6-2,7-6(5).
The strong play of Junior Ari Binder enabled Williams to go 2-0 on the day against archrival Amherst. Binder cruised passed John Thaler.
The Final day of the Dartmouth Invitational is tomorrow, Sunday October 4th.
