POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - In their final team match of the fall season the Ephs grabbed a resounding 8-1 victory over Vassar College (1-1). Williams dropped only a single match improving their team record to 2-0.
The Ephs swept the six singles matches only losing at number one doubles. Singles stars Karol Furmaga continued their stellar play from the ITAs. Furmaga defeating his opponent 6-4, 1-6, (10-8), while Weinberger won at number one in straight sets (6-3, 7-5). First year Kevin Shallcross dominated his match winning 6-3, 6-0.
In doubles Karol Furmaga and Rick Devlin teamed up to handily defeat the team of Mike Mattelson/Pete Ludlow (8-3). And Bret Thatcher and Ben Davidson defeated Jeremy Rosen and Josh Jasso by the same margin.
The Ephs next travel up to Dartmouth on Saturday (10/3) to
participate in the Dartmouth Shootout.
